More notes: CPU usage spikes to about 75-80% fairly regularly while PT is running. Installing a third-party app to disable hyper threading Removing all the plugins from my plugins folder.

This is on a formatted disk and a fresh install of Sierra. In both cases, I’m recording/playing back to/from my Toshiba T3 500GB SSD via USB-C. Well last night I borrowed a spare 2014 Mac Mini from my work (i7 16GB 1TB HDD, Sierra) and it’s even worse than my laptop. This has been happening to me for months on my 2015 MacBook Pro (i7 16GB 1TB SSD, High Sierra) and I had figured there was something wrong with my laptop. Learn more about setting the Multithreading preference to optimize performance.Ugh! Sessions with less than 5 tracks, with no native plugins active in the session and it won’t even play for more than a minute without giving me CPU Overload errors. Multithreading: Multithreading affects how Logic distributes the DSP resources of your Mac.If you are using ReWire, set this option to Playback Mode. ReWire Behavior: If you aren't using ReWire, then set this option to Off.As with the I/O buffers, higher settings increase latency. Process Buffer Range: Set this option to Large. CPU Overload Issues - v11.1.1 圆4 Hello FL Studio team: To echo some of the symptoms other users appear to be having, Im experiencing unusual and severe CPU spikes with v11.1.1 圆4: Typically there is a '99' CPU spike when opening developed projects for this version (not evident with previous versions of FL Studio).
Typical session for me is 25-35 tracks of audio. CPU never (rarely) gets over 10 on my system, regardless of buffer (always set at 64). I always chalked it up as working the CPU to load the program, and then it always settles in immediately after that. You can then set the I/O buffer size to 256 samples and leave it there for both recording and mixing. I get the same overload thingy when I load S1, and then no issues for the rest of the day.
Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio > General, and deselect Software Monitoring. If you're recording audio and not software instruments, you can monitor your audio directly from the source. To avoid latency and system overload alerts, decrease the I/O buffer size when recording, then increase it when mixing. Increasing the I/O buffer size reduces the load on the CPU of your Mac. However, larger I/O buffer sizes increase latency when recording. The I/O buffers temporarily store audio data before sending it to other destinations on your Mac. The problem is I cannot load any session due to this bug, because of course it doesn't allow me to play audio.
As you can see total CPU is 100 while the only core is actually in use signs 11 (as the Windows Task Manager). It continues showing up this CPU problem. I/O Buffer Size: Increase the I/O buffer size, up to a maximum of 256 samples. To view the CPU/HD window: Choose Logic Pro > Preferences > Advanced Tools, then select Show Advanced Tools.
